Mobile Auction Notifications
Auction Messages To Your Cell Phone Or Tablet
Main Auction Services has been asked about having notifications regarding auction statuses (i.e. bid placement notices, outbid notices, winning bid notices, etc...) sent to mobile devices such as cell phones and tablets. Currently the online auction software we use does not directly support both email notification and mobile notification. We requested that this be considered as a new feature for future versions of the software.
As a work-around, if you truly want instant mobile notifications about changes in auction status, you can go to the My Account section and update your bidder profile. In the bidder profile you can replace your normal email address with the text message email address for your mobile device. The format for the email address for major US cellular service providers is as follows:

Note: Where phonenumber is your 10-digit cellular or mobile device telephone number. Any data or text messaging rates charged by your cellular service provider will apply per your service plan, and are not the responsibility of Main Auction Services.
Warning: Making this change will prevent email notifications, including auction purchase invoices from being sent to your normal email account. All auction generated notification will ONLY be sent to your cell phone or mobile device as a text messages.
