Testing Oven Accuracy
A calibrated oven thermometer placed at multiple rack positions for at least 20 minutes will reveal whether the displayed temperature matches the actual internal temperature.
- Test at three shelf positions: top, middle, bottom
- Allow full preheat plus 20 minutes before reading
- Compare readings against a certified reference thermometer
- Repeat the test after any calibration adjustment
